Raiding
The Circle will have a raid team, it may be possible that there will be more than one raid team depending on the size of the guild. There will be a limited amount of raid slots for members to apply for in the raid team. If you apply for a slot with a character, that character will be your main. We expect you to work on your main to optimise the gear and abilities to the best it can be on non raid nights. If you wish to change your main or your role, then you will need to contact your raid leader, there must be a empty slot for your character to fit in if you are changing roles, and that your character meets the criteria of being raid ready. We will advertise raid slots to social members of The Circle before recruiting for those raid slots externally.
Once you applied and if your application is successful, then you will be welcomed onto the raid team, and that slot is yours each night as long as you sign up for the raid and turn up on time. If you do not sign up, or if you do sign up, but do not show up at the designated time, then we will need to replace you on the night with someone from either within the guild, or from outside from one of our allies to ensure the smooth running of the raid, and we will not ask that person to stand down if you do log on. There will be x2's (8 man) and x4's (16 man) raids, membership of one does not mean that you are guaranteed a slot in the other. Members may decide to run their own x2 raids, or to join a pickup but they must ensure they are not locked out for official raids. The guild will run both x2 and x4 raids in-house as a progression event to learn about the zone and later a farm event to gear up raiders, and include social members. We may run the x2 raids as a alternative to the 16-man raid depending on turnout. If this is the case, then we will ask members to sit out, but will grant them DKP for the sign-up, and showing up on time. Official raid nights will be held on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 7pm to 10pm UK time. We expect members to actually be online at 6.30pm UK time for raid formation and to prepare your character for raid start. We expect all raiders to have signed up 2 hours prior to raid start, we will start actively looking for any replacements in the last 2 hours to replace anyone who hasn't signed up at that point. The latest we expect members to arrive online is 6.45pm UK time, we will start actively looking for replacements at this point. If you show up and you have been replaced for either of those 2 reasons, we will not ask that replacement to stand down, and expect you to sit out. We expect raiders to stay for the duration of a raid night. If there is a genuine reason why you are not able to show up or need to log off early then you need to let the raid leader know well in advance. If you do not let the raid leader know beforehand, then we will wish to talk to you about the reasons why. While we expect the our raid members to be dedicated to the raids we do know that Real Life always comes first. Attendance requirements are 80% over a four weekly basis (this may include signing up and being on time even if we do not take you). If you attendance drops beneath the required level or we see inappropriate behaviour such as rage quitting or behaving in a detrimental way that has an effect on other players enjoyment, then we will reconsider your position in the raid team, but we will talk to you before any decision is made too see if an improvement can be made. Raid loot is handled via DKP, the DKP rules and other loot rules are listed under DKP Rules. We only expect you to bid for your main. If we see otherwise, we will reconsider your position in the raid. Alt loot will be called once no mains are able to use the item concerned. Companions will come under alt looting. While we expect everyone to better their class in the gear choices, we expect people to be mindful of their primary stats and only bid for relevant items. If a healer centric piece drops, we only expect healers to bid on the item even if the piece would improve the dps of a damage caster, same with if a scout centric piece drops, then we only expect scouts to bid on the item even though tanks might be able to use it to better their own DPS. We will intervene if we see players of one Role outbidding players for an item whose role the item is designed for. We will expect players to make the gear choices best suited for their Role in a raid. The raid leader will help you with gear choices if he or she see that you are struggling to make the right choices. We also expect you to bring with you all the relevant consumables to ensure survivability, and that your character performs the best that it can do. When on the raid we will have a MT (main tank) and a OT (off tank), as well as a MA (main assist) to channel DPS. When moving inside the raid zone, always stay behind the MT so that the MT is the first person to encounter a mob. Always stay with the raid group, do not wander off. If asked to stay put while the MT moves forward, then we expect you to follow that instruction. Do not click anything unless asked to do so by the Raid Leader. When we are prepping for an encounter, or are in the middle of an encounter we ask all members to keep the voice channel and raid text clear so we can issue instructions or macro's without being missed. We expect everyone to take instructions from the Raid Leader, if you do not understand a instruction, please ask for clarification. If there is a suggestion to be made on how to improve the encounter, then make it only when the Raid Leader asks for suggestions. Do not argue with a raid leader's instructions, if there is a problem or you disagree with the Raid Leader, then take it up with the Raid Leader after the raid, not during the raid. But once the Raid Leader has made a decision, that decision is final until a different decision has been made by the Raid Leader. But if there is anyway we can do better in our raids, or theres anything that needs clarification or need advice on how to do things better, then feel free to discuss on the forums. We will use a Mumble voice server for raids, and expect all the raiders to have downloaded the client and are able to listen in. Although its not compulsory for raiders to actually speak, they must be able to hear the Raid Leader issue instructions. We require the members to act disciplined, we want to raid as efficiently and as smoothly as possible while enjoying the experience at the same time. At the end of the day, SWTOR is a game, and we all play it to enjoy it. We ask you to pay heed to what the raid rules are to ensure that not only that we are successful, but that all of our raiders are enjoying themselves. |

About the calendar: Week starts on the Sunday and its a fixed view rather than a rolling view (can change between sunday and monday as start of the week), so to see next weeks raids you have to either click the "next arrow" or click on Raid Calendar on the top menu bar
